Bright Start Specialised Early Learning Centre

What makes bright start so special?

Bright Start Specialised Early Learning Centre offers a safe, nurturing, and educational space for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), global developmental delay (GDD) and children with additional support needs.

The centre provides a range of therapies for children and families. It is the only dedicated centre for children on the Sunshine Coast that combines daycare with intensive one-to-one early intervention therapy.

The specialised team includes qualified Early Childhood Educators and highly experienced therapy assistants. They also have a psychologist/board-certified behaviour analyst (BCBA) and a speech pathologist.

Bright Start embraces the uniqueness of each child and take a strengths-based approach to therapy. Supporting active learning and encouraging hands-on investigation, Bright Start promotes that ‘Play’ is the key way that children learn and develop. And they believe that ‘Play’ is the most natural teacher of all.

The highly qualified and experienced team of therapists and educators strive towards equal opportunity to access and engage with the world. This is achieved through the use of evidence based, research proven therapeutic practices.

“We believe the importance of providing a space that allows children time to wander and wonder. To be amazed, to be who they are, spaces to be alone, to be with others, to move freely, to be inspired and to learn. We offer a vast array of learning possibilities through indoor/outdoor natural environments. These spaces invite open ended interactions, explorations and a connection with nature.” — Bright Start founder, psychologist and Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) Sarah Clark.
